Community Programs
The Monroe Police Department maintains an active role in the community.  Below is a list of our current programs.  For more information on any program, please call the station at (203) 261-3622, or contact the department's Public Information Officer.

Child Safety Seat Inspection and Installation - The Monroe Police Department has three certified child safety seat technicians to assist residents on the safe and proper installation of child seats. 

D.A.R.E Program is currently taught to the 5th and 8th grade  There are currently four (4) Dare Instructors.

 

Stranger Danger - Youth officers teach Stranger Danger to the elementary grade students about the safety in dealing with strangers

D.U.I. Mock Crash at Masuk High School - Every other year, Monroe Police Officers along with Fire and EMS personnel conduct a mock motor vehicle crash demonstrating the consequences involving intoxicated drivers. This program is offered during prom season.

Child Fingerprinting is conducted for parents to maintain a fingerprint record of their child. Bring your children to the station any time for fingerprinting services at no charge. Fingerprint records are kept by parents.

Safety Seat Belt Campaigns  Monroe Police,  in partnership with State and Federal Law Enforcement Agencies participates in programs to promote safety seatbelt usage.
